I liked the fact that the teacher put the burden on homework defenders to show research supporting the benefits of homework, rather having to prove that homework does not make a difference. I hope that makes sense. It’s like if someone says we should use thematic units, we would kindly respond if they could show us the research that supports the use of thematic units. Of course we would secretly know that such research does not exist.
