I am starting to see that teaching French was only a vehicle to carry me into the battle ground of schools where I would end up fighting as hard as I could each day for 40 years.
The newest book Tina and I have written is providing me with that precious insight. That book is about far more than language instruction. It presents ways about reaching kids in a way that honors the idea expressed in the image below.
This profession is no joke. We cannot continue to joke around with our pedagogy while kids  suffer. We cannot continue to teach in a way that resembles trickery. We can make our classrooms where every single kid can find success. My sweet Lord I never thought I would ever say that!
