Have a great time away from home 🙂 After your many years of trying to do better each year for students, you deserve the extended vacation. Yes, you do.
Thank you, Jeanette. I have tried so very hard. It is so nice to agree with you. I’m standing here, sword in hand and bodies are lying all over the place and yet I’m still alive. (And if anyone thinks that that image is a bit over the top, then they obviously have never been a teacher.)
No computer? Now that is a vacation!
So happy for you! 🙂
May your days be blessed!
with love,
Laurie
You deserve the best, longest, most relaxing vacation ever. You have given and continue to give so much of yourself to us – hopefully we can make you proud and show you that we can stand on our own two feet for a little while (not too long 😉 ) while you’re gone.
Best wishes for a marvelous time!
Have a great vacation in Portland! Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Can’t believe you won’t be on a computer…what about the phone? Hmmmm…we will survive (barely)

Amen to the no computer! I just emerged from 9 days in the woods, hiking and crawling up tand down the spine of Vermont. No computer is wonderful. Enjoy Portland and stop in to visit my nephew and niece if you see them!
I gotta say the images that come to mind as you refer to your “all over the place” comments and how you have always tried so hard to do your best for kids and how you still are doing that with this blog. It makes more than one dedicated teacher just really smile.
Ben,
Enjoy your time. The discussion here is going well, with lots of input from the group, new and old alike.
Of course we miss you, but hey! You need a break…. duuuuuuude……
