Another a cuteness sandwich? Adorable.
I love that you have the same picture twice because I can’t get enough of it.
What is it about this kind of teaching that brings colleagues together so closely like you & Linda? I had worked in the dept w/some of the same Ts for years – some even almost 2 decades – but when we migrated to T/CI I made 2 BFFs from the dept.
I think it’s the playfulness and the soul-bearing honesty required – the unscripted spontaneous communication that we honor for the kids – when we see our colleague doing it – we have a special appreciation for the kind of courageous & soulful human that they are…and we also see ourselves reflected – and that feels good.
Alisa, you wrote, “special appreciation for the kind of courageous & soulful human that they are…and we also see ourselves reflected – and that feels good”
This is beautiful Alissa. It really touched me. It is so true. This work has brought me so much, so many friends. Each one of us is a leader just for getting up there and showing a new possibility in education.
Namaste, y’all.
Well said Alisa, that must be it. I’ve often wondered why…
And an immediate connection with a teacher when you find out he or she is teaching with CI. It’s more than an academic thing!
Safe travels, Ben, and I hope you’ll make it to those training days at Valor in early June.
I’ll be in Ft. Collins from the 6th to the 8th and then if I can make it (depends on the jet lag) I will be there on the 9th. Or I may be sleeping until the middle of the month since Delhi is smack dab 180 degrees opposite Denver.
