My name is Debbie Shipman. I teach upper level Spanish at University Preparatory School in Redding, California. I also teach adult students how to teach English as a second language using Comprehension Based Input at Global Connections Language Institute. I have used TPRS / CBI for over 15 years and have found it to be a wonderful way to give students the gift of success in language acquisition. I went to one of Blaine Ray’s very first weekend seminars many years ago and was hooked on TPRS. I went back to my classroom and literally threw out the outdated texts and I’ve been using stories ever since! When U Prep was first started we decided that it would be a totally TPRS world languages department and we now offer French, Russian and Mandarin as well as Spanish.
