Here is an email from Carol Hill:
Dear Ben:
I have a French 1 student on homebound instruction (concussion). She has not been in class since March. Just got this from her homebound French teacher. Thought I would share.
Best,
Carol
“I’m very interested in the story telling methodology. Eileen is way ahead of most first year students in comprehension of the spoken language. She is not afraid to speak in French and is very quick to use the structures that you include at the top of the story pages. It makes much more sense than the usually boring grammar methods. Some years ago I was involved in a local school district’s elemenary French program for grades 4, 5, and 6. The kids were very receptive and excited about it. I made many of the visual aids I felt were necessary since there was a budget crisis at the time. I loved it and the kids loved it, but the funding for it wasn’t permanent so it evntually was discontinued.”
