Thank you so much for asking for more video clips of others teaching. I KNOW it will be a crucial addition to all the reading and thinking I do from my couch each night because I can watch it until I’m comfortable with it (repetition) and then imitate it (produce). It would be great to have this as a springboard. I am asking Santa for a GoPro for xmas so that I can just run it without making a scene of turning it on and off in front of the kids or running out of memory, and when I get it I promise I’ll send mine in to the video bank for feedback.
Agreed. I think video is 100% the best way to learn and improve. Wouldn’t it be cool if a bunch of us make recordings teaching with the same MovieTalk clip and posted it to the blog? I know that I like watching someone else teach with the same script, movie, picture, etc. as I use – it points out in a very clear way where we could have personalized more, circled less, asked an inference question, etc. That’s something to consider.
