Attached is my proposal for ACTFL 2015. Since I’m using this exact wording, anyone else planning something similar should re-word heavily, but please share it with the PLC as you wish.
Reed Riggs and Ngan-Ha Ta, Haiyun Lu, & Pu-Mei Leng are also submitting proposals more or less related to Chinese but also applicable to other languages. I think it’s great, because there were huge numbers of Chinese teachers at ACTFL. As a cultural trait, Chinese teachers respect prominent associations and conferences, reading and sharing ideas, and there are growing numbers of Chinese teachers open to CI instruction. But many of them don’t “get” it easily even when they want to. So the more CI is shared, the better. Some will find out for the first time, some will take a further step in.
