#3 and #4 certainly apply to what we’re doing here on this PLC. The Internet is certainly bringing tribes together. I just think about summer conferences and the energy that already exists between us because of all the growing we’ve done together here, virtually.
Of personal note for me, #8. I hear more and more about this lately. Though we haven’t decided how we hope to approach our children’s education, I have read quite a bit on unschooling and to me, this is the most appropriate (albeit most difficult to achieve for a working family) way to educate a child. Sometimes I feel like a fake because I work in schools but I don’t know if I’d feel ok sending my child to one, especially early on. I don’t want my kids to lose the love of reading and learning bc they’re not flowing with the rigidity of school timelines. Then I remember that I have to make money somehow, and I truly do enjoy my work, and I stop feeling that way for awhile 🙂
