A question for the group:
Hi Ben,
I asked my Grade 10 class for self reflections today and they were very helpful to read. I asked them what they had noticed about their language learning this last term, as it was the first time I had tried TPRS with them. All of them wrote that they were feeling more confident in their understanding of German and their ability to communicate, except for one student. He is my very anxious student with ADD. He wrote that he likes learning vocabulary in lists and wants to prepare for class with reviewing lists of words. My interpretation is that he likes a neat package to work on and loves the reinforcement of 100% on a vocabulary test. He has not bought in, but I would like to convince him that he has really learned a lot. Suggestions for convincing him?
