Sounds like it will be a great presentation.
Hi Robert,
This sounds really good! How about a title such as , “Reader’s Theater! (texts and Common Core.)”
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I’ve already submitted the proposal as “Inspiring Students to Engage with Texts”. The theme of the conference is “Inspire. Engage. Transform.”
It will be so helpful for future years to have access to proposals. This year was only the second year that I have submitted and without experience it can be difficult to know what appeals to the committee. Thanks so much to everyone who has shared and good luck!!! I hope everyone is able to present!
with love,
Laurie
It’s not yet ACTFL 2015, but I just got info today by email about proposals for sessions at ACTFL 2016 (in Boston). Proposals I was involved in didn’t get accepted, and I’m not going this year (2015). Try again next time, perhaps…

From the email:
ACTFL 2015 in San Diego might be right around the corner, but it isn’t too early to start preparing for ACTFL 2016!
The 2016 ACTFL Annual Convention and World Languages Expo of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) will be held November 18-20, 2016 with pre-convention workshops on Thursday, November 17, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts. The ACTFL Convention features more than 700 educational sessions covering the whole spectrum of the language profession.
The entire selection process is designed to provide attendees with an exciting array of sessions and events to further knowledge and skills to become better, well-informed teachers and administrators. We welcome language educators at all levels and of all languages to submit a proposal!
Please note: When you log in, it is very important that you carefully read all the information in the Submission Guidelines before proceeding to complete your online submission. The submission deadline is Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. All proposals for consideration must be submitted online and will not be accepted after the deadline date.
