I am writing to ask for input about my district’s Elementary World Language HF Structure list. In trying to edit it, we are asking ourselves which HF Structures should be viewed as Receptive only and which ones should be treated as Productive. For example, for grades K-2, my group is considering making “I like” and “Do you like” be Receptive only, and making them Productive in grades 3, 4 & 5.
I have really not thought about this or heard discussion on it.
What are your thoughts on this issue? Is it useful to treat some HF Structures as Receptive only and others as Productive? I really appreciate your expertise.
