Ultimate CI Book 3 on Classroom Management – 1

I’m writing a new book about the state of our profession after Covid-19, which is not very attractive right now. The name of the book is The Ultimate CI Book 3 on Classroom Management.

That might seem like an odd title for a book on the state of our profession, but if we can’t connect the state of our profession to classroom management, then why write it and why read it?

From time to time, I will post parts of the book here. I will do so in an effort not just to share it with the group but also to get feedback and ideas from members of this group, ideas that might make the book better before it is published, which will happen probably in late winter or early spring.

A related point is that the comment fields on the PLC here have been languishing for years now. The reason for this is that the site itself has been very poorly managed by a web developer in recent years who is now my former web developer.

But if you have specific reactions or suggestions to the snippets of the developing book posted here, please leave them in a comment in the field below. If you can’t post a comment, you will be able to soon, in the next few weeks, and we might even aspire to experience some shadow of the halcyon days of old here.

Technical help is on the way for us here on the PLC to return to the vibrant level of daily conversation that we used to enjoy in the past. I really miss those days and those conversations and we thought they would never end. Sean told me as much a few days ago.

I have found a web development company – Inspire Action Marketing – here in Denver and I am confident that they will right the ship.

In the next post I will share a draft of the first few paragraphs of the new book, for those warriors in the PLC who might be interested in being part of my journey in this book. I can’t do it alone. The topic is too important. (If any of your suggestions are included in the book, I will publish your name in the beginning pages of the book and you can show it to people and impress them.

Far more than that, however, you will be helping craft a new version of what our profession is going to look like in the post-Covid era.
