We as teachers are generally strong people physically and mentally. We have to be – just because of the nature of the job. So let’s just stay strong mentally and physically during this crisis!
Good things can come from this. Indeed, they WILL come from this. For one thing, so many of us who now typically in March are burnt out physically and mentally can just REST.
Another thing we can do to keep our minds sharp is to learn something new. One way we can do that is to take this time to prepare for the next school year by going deep into my new Invisibles protocol, which is light years better than anything I’ve written before, though few grasp the truth of that at this point. (This rather strong statement includes the Big CI Book, ANATS and ANATTY.)
Taking time to study the new Invisibles book will enable us to start school in the fall (that is, if a vaccine is found by then) fresh and refreshed, and more prepared to start a school year than ever before.
But how to do that here on our PLC? Simple! For those teachers who have expressed an interest in implementing the new Star Sequence/Invisibles program in their classrooms next fall, I have chosen to share the book here in periodic installments.
Getting up on the Invisibles sure beats the cost of a conference, with the travel and hassle involved, neither of which is likely to happen this summer anyway. It also beats the skewed information about the Invisibles that has been put online by others who have harvested and are selling my ideas without really grasping them, like the ton of confusion out there about how I originally designed the One Word Image activity.
See the following Invisibles 1 (p. 6) article (posted on March 16th) to start reading!
As Chris Cuomo says, “Let’s get after it!”
