Claymation – 2

More from Julia:

I am going to buy clay for the kids today. One of my favorite things about this CI experience has been seeing kids blossom…those I never knew before. Ironically, my formerly least favorite students are charming now that they have the chance to be. I am really thinking a lot about how important this (Ultimate CI) could be for at-risk kids, and newcomers to the U.S. In fact, concern for those kids is what led me into education. Anyway, musings…
On to Day 2 of Invisibles!
To the group I would say, just do it! Of course it’s scary to start a lesson without a “plan” and there’s some skepticism and failure involved. My first day yesterday was a far cry from what my ideal is from watching you on YouTube, but also my kids came up with the great idea of claymation for example.

The main thing is to read the part in the Ultimate CI Book 2 about creating individually created characters.

Joy in teaching is the beacon. My desire to get good at this has less to do with being a good teacher from them as it does leading a joyful (part meaningful part whimsical) day for me.
