We did well with our quick responses to Keri’s question a few weeks ago. Now we only have, really, one day to help Steven Ordiano in Fresno with the following:
Hi Ben,
I would like to request feedback from the PLC with the following situation by Friday at noon, if possible.
My instructional coach has not listened to my professional reasoning via emails or in person. So he and I will meet for our last month of the school year to discuss the following question:
At the end of the year of French 1 what do students need to know?
He asked me to make a list then we will “compartmentalize” the school year into 4 quarters then backwards plan and use assessments. The objectives will also need to be included. The caveat is: they need to be concrete skills, tasks or language structures. I would like feedback from any of the PLC members who may dealt with this situation.
This coach is not my evaluating administrator but I wonder if he is doing my own administrator’s dirty work. Also, “un secreto” – my district does not have a scope and sequence for World Languages but he is going to force this dogma on me. Such a snarky turn of events.
Your friend,
Steven
