Since my classes are small, I have been adding in invisible students. They are in the actual seating chart. In one class there is a Seth and an Ella. In another a Dward Fardward, an Arnold House, and a Biddley Flurgenjurgen, whom I tell my students is an actual made up student in a classroom in Searsport, Maine in the U.S. We look on the map and find where the other Biddley goes to school, in one of Frau Anne Matava’s German classes. The kids love having extra kids in the class to talk about. It makes all of us happy.
