I wanted to report that Dr. Krashen in MN was very enthusiastic about a conference in New Delhi, in the next year and a half of so. Everyone is invited. We are still in the planning stages. What I want is to work only in coaching now that I have my new kick ass coaching model. I think it best if Carol organizes it and brings over the same team we had there in MN. Dr. Krahsen agreed with me that it was an extremely well run example of a professional conference. More on that as it develops.
I also wanted to respond with a shorter answer to Angie about if the PLC will continue while I am in India. Yes. My feeling is that if there is energy, we keep it going. When the energy subsides, we can go to other things. You will notice this coming year that since my first responsibility is to the American Embassy School in New Delhi, I personally may be posting less, but that’s fine. I am looking forward after our summer rest of another fantastic year – our ninth – of sharing ideas about how to best use CI in our classrooms.
So off go Landen and I, in just a few hours, to Iceland, then to Paris, Dubai, and, in an odd sort of unexplainable way, to a place that I feel is my home. I’ll report back in the first week of August. Meanwhile, especially if you are new, read in categories to which you feel drawn, review crucial Primer materials, watch some videos, visit the Forum, etc. and most especially rest up. We are going to do this again, together. Why? Because we have work to do!
