Hi Ben –
I’m sure you’re swamped wanted to ask you if you’ve ever used “kahoot” before. www.getkahoot.com
I just learned how to use it at our recent edcamp and it’s a lot of fun. It turns your classroom into a game show and each student uses his/her cell phone to buzz in and answer the questions. Since I began using it students ask every day if we’re going to play a kahoot today. It can be your exit ticket or a warm-up. You can also use the images from your hiku deck as the prompts. Once you import your deck as a powerpoint, you save that powerpoint as images in .jpeg format. That way you are using the exact same images for each part of the lesson and you can create a strong connection between the images and the text. You can use video as well or an audio file that is saved as a video. It’s very versatile. If you’re watching a film that is in mp4 format, you can take snap shots from the film and insert those into the quiz with L2 questions.
