Repetition in Context

Jennifer in this post writes about how yoga and CI are similar. What she says here about the importance in our work with CI of repetition in context is very very important. I would go so far as to suggest that the term “repetition in context” might be added to our list of the most key CI skills:
Circling
SLOW
Staying in Bounds
I know that circling is really just repetition in context, but I think that the term “repetition in context” takes it a step further than mere circling, which is more mechanical. If that makes sense.
Anyway here’s jen. Anyone who does yoga can relate. It’s certainly a daily practice:

One breath at a time, my CI world and yoga world are merging. I knew they would. Just read something that is totally CI….in the Ashtanga yoga context…”Guruji said you must do an asana more than 1000 times to fully understand it.” I almost jumped out of the chair. Yep. The magic and depth of REPETITION IN CONTEXT!!! Because, after all, the asana does not exist until we are there in that moment in whatever energy we are in (different day different context.) So obviously new neural patterns in the physical body and also new energetic patterns.
Yep. Yoga is CI is Yoga. Just sayin’.
