We in the PLC owe much to Catharina Greenberg. Her sharing of ideas here with us over the years has benefitted us in many ways. I am sure that I am not alone in saying that her voice is one of the most respected and listened to in our group and I know that she is not afraid of anything. Her comments always hit the mark. As one of a small band of elementary teachers here, she has emerged as a true leader in that area as well.
But the main thing is her kindness and her obvious sense of genuine appreciation of others. I get the feeling from her posts that what I say counts for something in her eyes, and that what others say here counts as well. Catharina seems to read here with eyes bathed in kindness. She does so with a smile and not a speck of criticism. She helps lift everybody in the group up in this way, all while downplaying her own contributions.
Catharina’s thorough knowledge of the research, her fine attention to the details of instruction using CI, her true dedication to her students, and most of all her keen appreciation from the heart of so many of us here in the PLC stand out. In a way, Catharina reminds me of those great painters who, after years of searching and traditional training, finally have found their own style.
We congratulate Catharina for all she has done and continues to do to benefit our group. We are all better teachers because of her voice on this PLC!
