I like this not having to go to work thing. I don’t call it retirement. I call it a vacation from which I never have to return to the classroom. And yes, it hit me when school started for Annick and all my DPS colleagues.
I’m not gloating, but I do deserve these days, given with love, as all things are given, from Him. Thank you, God, for looking out for me all those years in those six buildings with all of those students when I thought you weren’t doing it. I know now that you were. You rock.
