Most in the group know that Portland State University now grants online graduate credit for reading this blog. This announcement, by the way, caused a bit of kvetching over on the moretprs list, as some thought it not academic enough. No comment. I like how it’s the same thing we have to do for school, pretty much exactly. It’s what we do anyway, and exactly the opposite of making us waste time to get the credits, which has pretty much been the previous option for teachers who are just trying to make it to the end of the year and have no time for delving into the finer points of the research. It’s assumed that we have done that. So I’m very happy with the course design. It shows respect for us.
