I got this amusing anecdote from James yesterday just at a time when I needed a good laugh. My takeaway, besides the good laugh, is to remember to not share what is precious to me with people who don’t appreciate or recognize precious things:

I just fell into the trap of suggesting in a department meeting that we try to complete a district objective by using simplistic L2 with the kids in a way they can understand. You probably will not be surprised that I was quickly shut up. My new goal for the rest of today: Draw the least amount of attention to myself as possible. I want to crawl into a hole.
