I am new to your PLC, and so grateful for finding this wealth of information and guidance. I am a 7th and 8th grade Spanish teacher from Ithaca, NY on a full year sabbatical to explore TPRS. I am spending most of the year in the Bay Area of San Francisco, where I have found a few generous teachers who have been willing to invite me in to their classrooms to observe. I am hoing to observe and learn as much as possible in this coming year. I am also hoping to attend some workshops and am looking for recommendations. I am free to travel. I’m also planning to spend a month in Liberia, Costa Rica at the Instituto Estelar Bilingue. It appears that their teaching staff is TPRS trained, and I would love to observe and participate in their Spanish and English classes while exploring Costa Rica. I am also looking for other immersion opportunities to improve my Spanish in the coming year.
I’m hoping for recommendations for good workshops to attend this coming year, both local and elsewhere. I’m also looking for recommendations for Spanish language schools and immersions opportunities.
Also, is there anyone in this group from Central New York? It would be great to have a connection when I return home.
