In those afternoon sessions in San Diego, I want to do a thing where we’ll work on CWB and OWI and stuff like that in groups of four after seeing it modeled by me and one other teacher. So the order for our first session on Tuesday afternoon would be:
1. I model CWB.
2. Somebody like Elissa or Sabrina or Drew or someone with experience models it again, to show the difference in style and how that’s all right.
3. The groups of four practice to give everyone a chance at what each of these activities feels like.
The teachers attending the morning sessions will be sitting around for the entire morning observing classes, so I want my afternoon session to be hands on with lots of practice of all sorts of things, and each group of four would have to love and hug each other a lot. We could work on beginning of the year stuff, transitioning from PQA to stories, and on reading classes, and that would fill up the week, to say the least.
Any ideas on that format for our afternoon sessions in San Diego?
