Some kids – often the superstars – get annoying when they want to go on (they have a way of showing their impatience) but I have to go for the extra reps for the rest of the class. So I have a way to deal with that:
I direct a lot of the questions at the superstar just like the Annoying Orange of YouTube fame. I say:
“Hey Eric! (in L1), Hey Eric! (L1) Hey Eric!, is Luis ched? (L2) Hey Eric! (L1) Does Luis wear pointy Mexican boots? (L2) Hey Eric! (L1)…”.
I do a pretty good Annoying Orange imitation.
So if you want to get back at your bored superstar, or anyone in the class who has the ability to play the game but chooses not to do so, practice up on your Annoying Orange skills.
