Rarely, but it happens, people who try to comment are blocked by a 404 error, whatever that is. Send such comments to me and I will post them as articles. Here is one to Aree from Michele Rhodes, as she addresses Aree’s lovely new teaching environment in Atlanta:
My recommendation would be to select a few main verbs from each chapter/unit to focus on. Post as much as you can and refer to it often when you “point & pause.” For the huge long lists of vocab (nouns, etc.) have the students help you make visuals to post, and to make their own picture dictionaries, and to make their own flashcards. All of these can be done on computer if desired. Perhaps have the students sift through the list by placing them in 3 columns: cognates, semi-cognates or easier words to learn, and difficult words that they’ll just have to memorize. Give them a lot of reading, in fact, you should probably err on the side of reading input over oral input.
