Bob Patrick sent me this short email about a young Latin teacher in Ohio who wrote the Latin Best Practices List (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/latin-bestpractices/) and said:
…teaching with TPRS makes me feel like a foreign language teacher – for the first time in my life….
This is a profound statement from a young teacher. Many of us felt that shift in our careers only much later. I am happy that people are now getting to avoid the hell of teaching using the book earlier in their careers than later on. It is a blessed thing to think that this kind of shift is actually happening now with a lot of young teachers (judging from the shift we are experiencing in Denver Public Schools, which is very dramatic and refreshing), and so I included this quote here as a separate blog article.
