The queue is jammed so there may be a delay in posts. I got this from Drew about a week ago:
In reflection of the first two days of school, I underscore the importance of the first day. Being present, smiling, shaking hands, and finding your cool.
I found him: Bret. In Spanish II and III I wanted to circle “tiene miedo”. I’m afraid of scorpions, but Bret is afraid of sharks. We spent a good 20 minutes on Bret and pink sharks. Then another 10 on Ashley and her shark-eating rats. I ran out of time that first day for a quiz. Darn.
Bret is a cool. And you know what, that cool kid read today, and he even answered my questions like what does “hubiera” mean? I didn’t say excelente or fantástico. I just gave him a cool nod of approval. That was all he needed. Bret’s hooked -the class cool is hooked.
My project for the year. Our digital textbook (or something like that) : http://prezi.com/q0kgjex2hkql/spanish-iii/
I wish to everyone a powerful first day and fulfilling year.
Drew
