Valentine’s Day Script

This is from Jim Tripp. He said that he would send a reading in a few days to go with it if anybody wants to use it.

I don’t care

Carl receives a Valentine from Miley Cyrus. There is a piece of candy stuck to the card. Bobbie asks Carl what the candy says. Carl says, “I don’t know.” Bobbie says, “Spell it!” So Carl spells it out, “C-A-L-L-M-E” Bobbie says, “Whoa, it says ‘Call Me’!” Carl says, “I don’t care.”

Nikki receives a Valentine from Lil Wayne. There is a piece of candy stuck to the card with glue. Shanique asks Nikki what the candy says. Nikki says, “I don’t know.” Shanique says, “Spell it!” So Nikki spells it out, “I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U” Shanique says, “Whoa, it says ‘I Love You’!” Nikki says, “I don’t care.”Same as above, different student

Jim comments:

Around Valentine’s Day, you can buy the little candy hearts in Spanish. I only know this because a student once brought me in a few boxes of them to give out to the class. I think this story works better with the actual candy “stuck to” the card, but certainly isn’t necessary. You can always replace “piece of candy stuck to the card” with “message written on the card.”
