I got this list from John. In response, I made a category for “Most Frequent Words – Latin” etc. – one for each language. If anyone has a list for the other languages, please send them to me and we can get that category up and running. Very useful and thank you, John:

I wanted to make sure this helpful resource is accessible to Latin teachers on your blog. It is a list of the 300 most frequent Latin words, based on the classical literature.
Obviously, some important daily-use words are missing, but this list can be supplemented by classroom vocabulary and everyday words available on my web page for free:
Whenever I introduce a new word in my classroom, I want it, if possible, also to be commonly occuring in the literature. This list allows me to find those words quickly.
