I don’t know how long Diane Neubauer has been doing comprehension based instruction, but she is a force. She has a great future in and out of the classroom as a leader in promoting comprehension based instruction. Diane is one of a breed of new young teachers in our PLC who will one day be great leaders in this change we are in. We have a lot of them here. Diane gives such care to her instruction. She fine tunes everything. I’m amazed, frankly at her attention to detail and in particular to the detail she brings to the difficult business of teaching Chinese, which takes a lot more time and patience, it seems, from the instructor than we have to do in modern languages. What Diane shares with us here on the PLC on a regular basis is just gold – all of it is gold. So I’m sayin’ it’s an easy choice for this new superstar in our galaxy to be chosen as October’s PLC Teacher of the Month. Congratulations Diane!
