Hey Ben –
I am working on a paper right now about Standards for my Masters class. I was poking around the NC Dept of Public Instruction site (NCDPI) because we were going to move there a few years ago and are still planning to retire there. So, I started to poke around in their WL standards, and OMG – I am appreciating Maine right now! They are seem very stringent and tight on what needs to be done, when. I also notice that they seem to expect the kids to do a lot in the prescribed levels.

I feel sorry for CI teachers in NC! (no wonder I haven’t noticed any from there.)
