This is really working well for me this year. I was going to buy a new laser pointer this year, but now I will wait a bit. Not having ones slows me down.
Yeah James in an ideal world I would not have the laser. It’s just that these kids in this school are so fast (today I felt like I was directing a play instead of asking a story) and some of the posters (Word Wall, Sabrina’s how-you-doin’) are up higher than I can reach so I need the pointer for them. But honestly I do know that the laser is best not used. We always assume they are getting more than they really are.
Will you use the laser for choral readings/translations? Are you going to be doing those with these kids?
Yeah that’s a good point. I’ve been doing it with a meter stick. But the laser-pointer would allow a student eventually to do it. Maybe I should get one after all. Thanks for the reminder!
