Hi Ben,
A quick question for you and/or the blogsters: How much personal responsibility do you feel for students that you know are going to be transferring to other schools in the near future (i.e. out of a CI environment into a grammar worksheet environment)? I have a couple of students that I don’t think will be returning to our school next year, and will probably end up at schools where they will hate their Spanish classes but also will be told by their teachers that they are woefully “behind” since they can’t conjugate all forms of the pluperfect subjunctive. Any thoughts on what can/should be done for students like this (quick crash courses in grammar, etc.)?
