Hey Ben –
Just wanted to drop in and say hi. I’ve been seeing the information about your events and am so happy that people are showing interest in changing this field. Unfortunately, I’ve been kind of taken out of it. I am still at the same school, technically the FL teacher on staff, but instead of teaching Spanish (or pretending to teach students that already know Spanish) I administer the online Spanish course. I’m babysitting.
It’s disappointing and easy. If there were truly a teacher shortage I would just find another job, however said shortage has never materialized. Not where I live. I haven’t really even been on the blog since I can’t use any of those skills or practices here… oh well. It’s still wonderful to not dig ditches and get to see my kids every day and have the vacation time….
