How encouraging !
And we all thank you, Ben, for being there as well, bringing your vision and your heart to a movement that is, as people keep saying in Agen, “life-changing.”
Thanks must also go to you also Ben!
Your commitment to us all was inspiring in Agen. It was my first TPRS conference and the enthusiasm, energy and generosity of everybody was amazing. People were so willing to share their thoughts and send ideas which is not often true when teachers get together (in my past experience).
The workshops and talks brought to life much of what I had read about TPRS. You repetition of the idea that while sometimes classes can be entertaining we are not entertainers all we have to do is make ourselves understood to our students.
I particularly valued the discussions on classroom management of the more challenging students. We have a right to insist on students doing their 50% especially as we are working hard to reach them in the most engaging way we can.
Many thanks to Ben and all present in Agen.
Philip, it was a pleasure to meet you in Agen. The generosity of the TPRS/TCI community cannot be overstated. If you needed a recipe for apple pie, someone would step up to offer their grandmother’s award winning recipe AND they would not leave out one single ingredient or detail to ensure your success!
