I did the 3 Bears @ the beginning of the year and the students loved it, partly because the animation is so bad! It looks like the Bears are rollerblading through the forest, and appear to float upstairs! The word for word symbols are part helpful, part annoying. The optional music is cute. I really like the pace. There’s an audio with a Spanish (from Spain) accent; there’s the text and then a a word/symbol translation. We acted out scenes- tons of fun, especially the soup and the beds.
We ended up doing a retell that we wrote onscreen afterwards. It became a nice embedded reading. There are only 3 stories up right now- 3 bears, red riding hood and ugly duckling. I haven’t explored the others yet for target usage.
I would definitely use 3 bears again- lots of opportunities for spin!
