Thanks for pointing this out. I’m sure I would have been walking and talking. Now to remember it all!
What is the best way to learn TPRS online through websites, videos, and ebooks?
I’m sorry Jorge but that question has a thousand answers, as there is no shortage of experts in this field willing to sell you something that they say is the best way. I can only say that for ten years we have gathered here a private group of earnest teachers who are simply trying, as best we can with no one claiming to be an expert, to find our own way through the confusion. I’m sorry but there is no way that question can be answered. I am a fan of non-targeted, many others prefer targeted CI. You have to read, go to workshops and make your own decisions. There is no other way. Mes regrets….
Ben, thanks for your prompt answer. What is the difference between targeted and nontargeted CI?
This was one of the key concepts that I took away from Portland ME. Don’t walk and talk, Nathaniel. Walk. Stop. Point. Then talk.
Another way to put this is that movement is purposeful. We walk to the Q words direct all attention to them. We walk to the description chart so that everyone follows the flow. We walk back to the center, plant ourselves, so that the whole class can be together in the creating process.
If we could just do this one thing, walk before we talk, and place our hand on the word before we say it , we wouldn’t need to worry about slow. They will understand.
