I use this exact same technique during speaking tests. It works so well. Thank you for reminding me to use it with classes as a whole during the school year!!!

I really like that last line. “Cultivate mindful interaction with them. Don’t just teach them.” How inspiring! We expect a higher level of thinking in our classes. But we don’t just expect it to happen on it’s own. If we did that, there would be no growth. Instead we cultivate it as we facilitate with our questions, relationships, eye contact, and our connection as human beings.
