I Am A Truck Driver

My first career choice was to repair lava lamps, but they went out of style, although you can still get them at Walmart. My next career preference was to become a choral conductor, but that didn’t happen either. So my third career choice was to become what is now called a traditional language teacher.
I did that for a long time, but then I quit and decided to just drive a CI delivery truck for a living. Tina did too. There is so much less stress in driving a CI delivery truck than in teaching languages! I wish I had done it before and just skipped the traditional language teacher part altogether.

My CI license is current. You may have seen my truck around town. It’s the one with the big NTCI Trucking on the side panels. NTCI Trucking is a subsidiary of CI International, the big over-the-road outfit that really delivers the goods. It’s a good company to work for. NTCI is the new all-electric self-driving division of CI International.
And the best part is that my students really appreciate what I deliver. Back when I was a traditional foreign language teacher, nobody gave a rip.
