So far we have Anu in San Diego who is there teaching lots of languages including Tamil. And of course lots of Chinese teachers and Martha in Japan but I don’t think we have anyone teaching Indonesian. So now we do! Catherine Elliot shares her bio here.
Anyone else who wants to send in a bio please do so. We have gotten so busy with so much stuff going on that the teachers of the month awards and the bios have fell by the wayside. But where the bios were required I am no longer doing that – I just don’t think we have the security issues with invading readers like we did five years ago.
Here is Catherine’s bio:
I teach Bahasa Indonesia to primary students in rural South Australia. I am a qualified primary school classroom teacher and have taught in Australia, Canada & Indonesia. I have been teaching Indonesian since 2002, which has always been my passion, and love that I have the opportunity to share this love with my local community. I am attracted to TPRS/CI pedagogy because after 11 years of teaching Indonesian at my current school, I have been disappointed with and slightly embarrassed about the poor level of fluency my students take with them to high school after their 8 years of primary education.

We welcome catherine to the group!
