A teacher needs help in how to respond to this situation:
“I am in need of justifying how CI is an effective instructional strategy to my principal who indicated on my TKES observation that the students were not asked to write any vocabulary down during their Movie Talk. I went over introductory vocabulary before she came in and checked for understanding during and at the end. I was very disappointed that she thinks Movie Talk activity does not hold the students accountable for their learning since they are not writing. Please advise on how to assess or send reference that can explain best to principals about second language acquisition. I think the students enjoy CI movie talk and OWI.
