OK hold the phone. In the last post I said that it is impossible to mix a Scope and Sequence document with TPRS. Zach Al Moreno has changed my mind. He suggested that if we teach just 10 min. of grammar every day, we could fulfill the requirements of any S and S document, especially since we here in our school two years of TRS instruction equate to one year of traditional high school instruction. So we would have two years in the middle school to create stories and then cover the stuff – for ten minutes in each class period – what the high school teachers want covered. It’s a good idea. Maybe there is a common ground between a S and S and TPRS after all.
